GridGain Nebula February 14 2025 Release Notes

What’s New in This Release

GridGain® Nebula is a is a cloud-native, fully-managed service for Apache® Ignite™ and GridGain® Platform. Nebula eliminates the complexity of configuring, provisioning, managing, optimizing and scaling Apache® Ignite™ and GridGain® in cloud or hybrid environments. You can spend less time managing platform instances and more time building high-performance, scalable applications.

The latest Nebula release, February 14 2025, introduces support for Apache Ignite 3 and a Connector tool that simplifies connection of your GridGain 9 and Apache Ignite 3 clusters to the Nebula.

New Features

Cloud Connector

The brand new Cloud Connector tool can be used to simplify connection to Nebula. By default, Nebula needs to connect to your cluster to collect data, which can be both insecure and inconvenient. Cloud Connector serves as an intermediary, collecting data from your cluster, actively establishing a secure connection to Nebula and providing a safe and easy to set up link between Nebula and your internal network.

You can still use the Nebula-initiated connection by using the provided Embedded connector. But you need to make your cluster reachable from Nebula.

Attaching and Initializing Apache Ignite 3 Clusters

You can now Attach Apache Ignite 3 clusters by running the "add cluster" workflow from the main Nebula toolbar. Once the cluster had been attached, you can initialize it via the My cluster screen.

Viewing GridGain 9 Cluster Metrics

You can now view metrics from GridGain 9 clusters in the Control Center Dashboard screen, including the Default tab and any custom tabs you add. Alerts can also be configured and monitored now for GridGain 9 clusters.

Managing Snapshots for GridGain 9 Clusters

You can now create and manage snapshots, as well as view snapshot operation history, for GridGain 9 clusters in the Snapshots screen.
