What’s New in This Release
Introduction
GridGain® Web Console is a free monitoring and management tool for Apache® Ignite™ and GridGain applications. The latest Web Console 2019.10 release adds new features, a new architecture, and simplifies installation and configuration.
New Feature: Updated Web Console Architecture
Previous releases of Web Console were based on NodeJS and required an externally managed MongoDB database to store configuration, user profiles, metrics information, and more. In 2019.10, we updated the Web Console architecture to be a pure Java web application which runs on SpringBoot and uses Apache Ignite Persistence to store configuration information and metadata. You will no longer need to install NodeJS or an external MongoDB to run Web Console.
New Feature: Dashboard Metrics for Apache Ignite and GridGain Community Edition
Previously, on premise Apache Ignite and GridGain Community Edition users of Web Console only had access to the Configuration and SQL Queries screens. Web Console 2019.10 adds Dashboard Metrics as basline functionality for Web Console. Additional Gridgain Enterprise and Ultimate Edition features like Data Center Replication, Rolling Upgrades, Snapshots, etc. are activated based on the detected license of the connected clusters, caches, and nodes.
New Feature: Backward Compatibility for Apache Ignite and GridGain Clusters
Web Console 2019.10 adds the ability to manage multiple versions of clusters simultaneously. The following versions of Apache Ignite and GridGain have been certified with Web Console 2019.10.
-
Apache Ignite 2.5.0
-
Apache Ignite 2.7.5
-
GridGain 8.4.4+
